UNIQLO.com (U.S. launch)

Sr. Information Architect, 2012-13

Japanese retailer Uniqlo wanted to launch their U.S. site with an experience that was as fun and playful as their retail experience. We reimagined everything to be both practical and enjoyable. Responsive, infinitely scrolling, and social… even the error messages were playful.

The site exceeded first quarter sales goals by 10% and was lauded by fans, fashion lovers, and press. Business week called the new UNIQLO site the “next generation of the e-commerce experience” and the site received Webby nominations in both Shopping and Best Practices.

Fun. And Functional!

Fun. And Functional!

We created a responsive e-commerce platform that married fun and play into best-in-class interactions.

Commerce Collaboration

Commerce Collaboration

This project was extremely fast-paced and challenging, combining tight timelines and a global platform integration requiring the collaboration of UNIQLO (Japan), NTT (Japan), and IBM Websphere (US). I led the commerce team and worked with all groups to launch our experience within the given framework and timeline.
