As a partner at Kava Cafe in the West Village, I was engaged in every facet of the business from branding to product development. The experience changed the way I approach both work and life- I became braver, tougher, and more connected. Our small business seeded the thrill of creating real community impact in an offline setting and provided me with opportunities to grow, learn, challenge, and inspire myself in areas beyond my prescribed role as an agency professional.

Our clean and brassy logo reflects the cafe’s architectural curves and surfaces, as well as an elegant fusion of modern and traditional elements.
We created unique and fun evening experiences, including a fine dining pop up with Chef Flynn McGarry, private events, and a series of art shows.
Through ups and downs, the most rewarding part of this business experience has been the wonderful connections we have forged with new friends and neighbors over the years.
